I really want to share this track with you guys. It’s called Faerie Dance, by a terrific band called Plants and Animals. Let it happen, give it all the time it needs, because by the end of the song, you will want more - and I’ll give it to you, tomorrow.

5:14 in this song becomes magic.

Extension.fm also plays songs in your Tumblr Dashboard. Win!

Just installed this and it makes me so happy. Ever since this stopped working I’ve been craving a way to easily listen to all the songs on my dashboard. Prayers answered. high-res photo

Yeasayer - I Remember

I anticipate Odd Blood will follow the same arc All Hour Cymbals did for me. The arc goes something like:

  1. “oh that one single is really catchy, wonder what the album sounds like…”
  2. “so this is the album. shrug.”
  3. “i guess i’ll give it another listen.”
  4. “this is AWESOME”
  5. “I really like these songs and will listen to them on loop and they’ll come up on a bunch of genius playlists”
  6. “if I hear another Yeasayer song i’m going to fucking punch someone.”

I’m on step #4 right now. Should be a fun next few months.

Whenever I see a brilliant kid decide to join Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, or Google, I think to myself: a startup just died, and as a result our world is a little less wealthy, innovative, and interesting.
